====== Besantius ====== ===== Recruitment ===== Like [[lunchboy|Lunch Boy]] and others, there is a story. April, 1984. I was (still am) in the Air Force reserves, participating in a Global Shield exercise where SAC pretends that Omaha goes up in a mushroom cloud and tries to run things from a small fort in Iowa. I was a brand new 2nd LT, and of course I was elected to run the Imagery Intelligence desk from 2000 to 0800 when absolutely nothing was happening for 12 hours. [[wn|W?N]] (Richard Weigmann) was a fellow reservist, who took pity on the poor 2LT with nothing to do for 12 hours, so he challenged me with some most remarkable puzzles. Immediately hooked, I joined in June.
