Games used to sponsor an event called the U.S. Open Crossword Tournament. At the 
end of the third competition that Momus attended, he was speaking with a small 
group that included [[En]], [[Double-H]] (Henry Hook), [[Arachne]], and [[Senor]],
during which Momus learned of the NPL; [[Senor]] was the one that handed Momus the
mini-sample that induced him to join.
