I first heard about the NPL at my first [[misc:acpt1998|Stamford Tournament]] in 1992. It seemed 
too strange to me at the time. I finally joined after the 1995 tournament with 
encouragement from several Krewe members including [[Panther]], [[nonsequitur|Non Sequitur]], 
[[Treesong]], [[Tyger]], and [[Squonk]].
