===== Recruitment =====

I wasn't really "recruited." Back in 1991 I learned about the League 
while constructing crossword puzzles for various magazines. I sent for 
more information and received a [[mini:start|mini-sample]] of //The Enigma// 
dated July 1991. I promptly missplaced it. It turned up a couple of weeks 
ago when I was purging files, so I decided to join.

Of late I spend lots of time searching for things I've lost, misplaced, misfiled, 
given away, or maybe never had to begin with . . . at any rate, choosing 
"Searcher" as a nom was  a no-brainer!
