I met Belles Lettres (when she was still Karen) at GAMES Opens and she talked me into going eventually to Stamford, where I remet some of the same people, and met and liked a bunch of people who had extra mysterious names (which I later learned were noms) on their name tags – WILLz, mehitabel, Pen Gwyn, Senor and others – so I got the mini-sample from Senor and was hooked (then got the first three issues of Nig and was gaffed). But I guess for the tree it's some combination of GAMES Open, Belles Lettres, Stamford.
