It's just a transposal of Nancy, and I almost decided to call myself “Canny,” but that sounded pretty vain, not to mention hard to live up to. So I picked “Uncanny,” which I meant mostly in the sense of “not at all canny,” and also the “un” was supposed to be sort of like an anagram indicator.
