Recruitment

I was recruited by 144 at the first Baltimore crossword tournament. I was overwhelmed by the first Enigmas I received, and for months did nothing but the crypts.

The next year, at the second Baltimore tournament (thanks, Famulus. I know it was a hassle but I miss those NJ, LI, Balto, wherever– tournaments of yesteryear) Pen Gwyn was kind enough to sit down with Bookworm and me and give us a lesson in flat-solving.
