Frequent Questions about Wordlists

Why don't my searches work? I'm even using your example "^s.*py$" and I get nothing!
Are you including the quotes? That would be bad.

I want to find word for base type X. How do I do that?
There are two ways: if you want total control, refer to Lucifer's regular expression examples; or, you should look at the base finding tools which can search all the dictionaries for almost all the base types.

What are the three english words that end in 'gry'?
The fast wasy to find this is to us the dictionary seach and look for the expression "^.*gry$" which finds all the words that have anything before a 'gry' ending. or, just click here to see the results.

"Did you know you're site is a GoogleWhack???" or "AAAAARRRRRGGGGHHHH Your site is ruining all my Googlewhacks!! Your website sucks!!"
People either love the wordlists because they are such a rich souce of Googlewhacks, or they hate us because our wordlists spoil so many Googlewhacks anywhere else. So, yes, we know. No, we're not sorry. Besides, our wordlists don't count, as far as we're concerned. From http://www.googlewhack.com/rules.htm:

3. Google shows you an excerpt of the page you whacked. Look at that text.
If it's merely a list of words (such as a bibliography, concordance, encyclopedia,
glossary, thesaurus, dictionary, domain names, or plain old machine-generated
random garbage), No Whack For You!
