1) No conventions were held during World War II.
2) Conventions were suspended after 1958; thereafter officers were elected by mail ballot.
3) Prior to 1971 elections were held in the middle of the year and officers assumed their duties in the fall; beginning in 1971, incoming officers didn't take office until the following January, so technically 1971 did not have its own officers.
4) Though annual conventions resumed in 1976, officers continued to be elected by mail ballot.
