Attending the ACPT for the first time in 1982 as a high-school senior, I picked up my first minisample, eventually leading to my joining in September 1983. After a year, though, I entered into a Van-Winklean dormancy, sustained by GAMES Magazine and Willz’ Weekend Edition Sunday puzzle. In November 2002, I met Vebrile at a Boston-area board-gaming event (Unity Games) and in due time he and his wife ¢ encouraged me to rejoin.
First Issue: September 1983.
Hello, my nom is…
… what I’d hope you’d say upon seeing me. Of course you’ll be forgiven if you remember me by the nom I used from 2002-2018, Blanket, which is the reading of the rubric (see rebus) ___et which, when applied to both my given & family names yields false diminutives.
